RALLY project is the only outside foundation to run Explorers Post outside the host departments.
The Hood, Erath and Somervell Counties Law Enforcement posts in North Texas are administrated without funding from any governmental agency. Fundraising events and partnerships along with local civic groups, companies and individuals are how we pay and provide for things. (ie... training equipment, competition expenses, transportation, entry fees, lodging and food) This also includes day to day expenses associated with the posts.
Our Law Enforcement Explorer posts are a hands-on program open to young people ages 14-21 and that are interested in a career in law enforcement or criminal justice.
The program offers young people a personal awareness of the criminal justice system through training, practical experiences, competition and other activities. Additionally, the program promotes personal growth through character development, respect for the rule of law, physical fitness, good citizenship and patriotism.
Working with today's youth to build RALLY homes for Warriors in need.
We have a work program in place with fellow Warriors and students of Local High School and College building trades departments to build Small High Performance Homes.
Teaching, learning and working alongside each other is a great benefit to all involved. Seeing how their service is impacting local warriors can make a lasting impression that will mold a young person into a community service-minded adult.
